Suza Bedient

Radical Grounding as a Container to Explore Emotions

Suza Bedient Radical GroundingI have been a wild child, always. I was raised between the Chesapeake Bay and the Appalachian Mountains, sailing and hiking, craving deep wilderness. Making my way into the NOLS realm, I have spent over 350 weeks over 25 years in wild places around the world working as field staff. I also have a background in science, bodywork, and movement practices. On the continuum of inner world and outer, my focus is on empowering the individual and helping them land their wisdom in the context of their collectives. The deeper Earth wisdom that has been held in the Andes awaiting this time has called my name, giving me a precious opportunity to go through a genuine initiation and become a mesa-carrier with roots in that lineage. I have founded Tree of Life Mentoring as a way to offer this ancient wisdom to these modern times. We all are indigenous at the soul level. There are magnificent ways to remember our place in the family of things, and awaken ways of being informed beyond the personal.

Emotional Intelligence, For Real

‘…I look out at everything growing so wild and faithfully beneath the sky
and wonder why we are the one, terrible part of creation privileged to refuse our flowering…’   –David Whyte, ‘The Sun’

What are your emotions really telling you? What response-abilities do you have? How can emotions be the key to your growth and the unfolding of your soul path?

Much of our challenges as adults are the parts of us that did not go through the developmental processes required at different stages as children. The magic is that we actually have the capacity as adults to go back to those places in time and hold the container for that child to accomplish that growth, allowing the fullness of our flowering.

Much of what we as seeing right now as a culture are childish behaviors that are ready to grow up. The outer world is a reflection of the inner, and is inviting each of us to do our due diligence in the one place where we have the most influence.

Learn to work with this process as it shows up. Learn to access a source beyond the personal that helps hold that container for growth.
