Your Instructors:

Kimberly Ketchmark. “I started “mountain” biking in the hills of Minnesota, where I grew up, and I have been hooked ever since! Moving to Colorado in 2019, MTB became a passion and grew into a big part of who I am. Like many riders, I’ve had a lot of ups and downs: In 2021, I wound up in the ER after a serious crash on a bike that, I later learned, was too big, then 4 months later, I went on to podium in my first Enduro race, not even fully recovered from my injuries. That crash was eye-opening for me, after which I dedicated myself to dialing in bike fit and perfecting fundamental skills. I spent hundreds of hours at bike parks and on local trails rebuilding my body, bike, and, more importantly yet the most difficult: my confidence. Less than a year after that crash, I won my second Enduro race! I understand how difficult it is to pick yourself back up and press on, to quiet the demons and grow through failure, but l have also seen the results of learning proper technique (and the consequences of not), and how it can help break that cycle. I am eager to share my journey and the lessons I’ve gained so that other riders can find the freedom, flow, and fulfillment that MTB provides me that sparked my passion and sustained my perseverance to keep that fire stoked!”

Erica Rodriguez (she/her) I attended an intro to mountain biking skills class two years ago and fell in love with the sport. Every year I see the progression, and I push myself to greater challenges. Radical Adventure Riders (RAR) Front Range Chapter was awarded in May of 2023. I was part of the core leadership team, which helped get RAR started in the Front Range. I have recently changed my role with RAR to focus mainly on planning mountain biking rides instead of planning all RAR biking events. I’m also involved with other mountain biking groups, and I signed up to mountain bike Kilimanjaro this fall with Life2short women’s group. I have learned the importance of mountain biking safely and learning proper body and bike position and technique. I’m excited to give back by teaching others the joys of mountain biking and being a resource for finding a safe riding community.

Cheyenne (she/her) is the Program Coordinator at Women’s Wilderness for our Trailblazers and Girls Lead for Life programs. She’s passionate about cultivating mentor-mentee relationships and expanding her skill set in her interests (backcountry expeditions, rock-climbing, highlining, art and business). She’s committed to creating real change for diversity, equity, and inclusion and to share the magic of nature with people of all colors, backgrounds, sizes, gender identities, and experience levels.
