New Mexico Backpacking Expedition


Duration: 9 Days

Age: 16 – 18 Years

New Mexico Backpacking Expedition is an immersive backpacking experience for 11th and 12th graders, as well as recent high school graduates. During this 9-day course, participants will confront challenging terrain and deepen their technical skills.  In addition, participants will also form enduring bonds within the group as they cover a lot of physical and emotional ground. In this safe and supportive environment, participants will explore elements of teambuilding and leadership development and think about how to carry these new skills beyond the course. 

This course is moderate-to-high intensity and appropriate for participants who have some outdoor experience and are looking to take their backpacking to the next level and new geographies. Pick up and drop off is in Boulder, CO. Transportation is provided to and from the trailhead.
