Trad 2.0: Multi-pitch Skills & Techniques

Sliding Scale Course Fees  |  Women’s Wilderness has created a sliding scale for all its Women’s programs in an effort to keep our courses affordable to a wide range of people.  All our pricing scales are significantly below the prices of for-profit companies. The top price represents the actual cost to run the course, and the second two tiers represent scholarships.  We set forth no criteria and trust that each individual will pay what they feel is appropriate.

Ready to level up your climbing and get higher on the wall? Then you need to learn multi-pitch skills, and our AMGA-certified guides can teach you how to ascend beyond the realm of single-pitch climbing. You’ll be learning in a welcoming community of fellow female climbers who could become your future partners on your big multi-pitch objectives.

Climbing in multi-pitch terrain is a challenge, but this course will help you feel confident in route finding, clear multi-pitch communication, and belaying from above, as well as with belay organization, transitions, and rope management.

This course focuses on the following skills:

  • Communication on a multi-pitch
  • Belaying from above
  • Route finding
  • Staying organized at belay stations
  • Transitioning leads
  • Rope management
  • Fall factors & avoiding a factor 2 fall

(This course is taught in a single pitch, sport-climbing format for risk management and focus on specific multi-pitch skills. There is no actual lead climbing in this course.)
