Knots, Hitches, & Lashings for Survival

Sliding Scale Course Fees  |  Women’s Wilderness has created a sliding scale for all its Women’s programs in an effort to keep our courses affordable to a wide range of people.  All our pricing scales are significantly below the prices of for-profit companies. The top price represents the actual cost to run the course, and the second two tiers represent scholarships.  We set forth no criteria and trust that each individual will pay what they feel is appropriate.

Binding, Lashing, & Tying Techniques For Adventurers & Outdoor Professionals – or fellow knot-nerds and anyone looking to learn more to keep themselves and their loved ones safe when equipment malfunctions, weather turns, injuries happen, vehicles break down, or other issues come up. Training covers many different Knots, Hitches, and Lashings, incorporating hands-on practical applications in scenarios like shelter-building, lashing up poles between trees, making tripods, and emergency ascension or rappel.

Our instructor Jessie Krebs has been a United States Air Force survival instructor, has taught all kinds of people outdoors for 25 years, and starred in National Geographic’s “Mygrations” as part of a human “herd” traveling across the Serengeti, as well as in “Kicking and Screaming, AND most recently on the Science Channel’s “Hacking the Wild.” She will get you DIALED on your survival skills!
