Cristal Cisneros, Field Instructor
Cristal Cisneros is originally from Gary Indiana. She prefers she, her, hers pronouns, is first generation Mexican, and she loves the outdoors! She moved to Colorado eight years ago after suffering a quarter-life crisis upon finishing an undergrad with a B.S in Biology. She is currently working on her doctorate in Education focusing on environmental racism and its impact on students of color. During her spare weekends she is usually in the mountains taking up space with her golden Espanto (Ghosty or papas) doing your typical Colorado stuff. She has yet to climb a 14er, but plans to do so this summer. She feels like she has just started a new chapter in el movimento. She was in the Trailblazer cohort in 2018 and learned so much she is now back as an instructor excited to share what she learned as the program was pivotal in helping her to feel more comfortable in the outdoors.
