Winter Wanderings: see what we've got planned!
Women of winter are you tired of looking out your window another morning and seeing a sky void of beautiful snowflakes? Are you seriously considering putting on a pair of shorts? Are your skis and boards getting dusty waiting for that next big snow?
Never fear The Women's Wilderness Institute is here! Run away with us this weekend to a backcountry full of snow and increase your confidence and knowledge in Backcountry Basics on Sunday Jan 11. Or, join us for Intro to Telemark on Saturday Jan 10 and free your heels and mind on the slopes of Eldora and escape your fresh powder blues by challenging your self with something new.
Next weekend: hit the ice with our Ice Climbing Intro on Jan 18. If you already have some experience and are ready to take your skills to the next level, take our Intermediate Ice Climbing course on February 7.
Also on the skills list for this winter: Snowshoe & Orienteering on Jan 24, Snowboarding on Jan 25, another Intro to Telemark Skiing on Jan 31, and our new Backcountry Ski & Snowboard Weekend on Feb 14.
We're also offering a course for moms and daughters to adventure together with our Daughter-Parent Snowshoe course on February 21.
As always, our women-specific outdoor adventures offer a great combination of skills, camaraderie, confidence, fun and terrific food. We hope you'll join us in the snow this winter...and check out our schedule of spring and summer courses which have just been posted throughout the site. Standout new course include: Journaling Through Nature, Finance Rocks, Longs Peak Climb and two new Daughter-Parent summer adventures. Visit our calendar page to see what dates fit our schedule or jump right to our registration page to sign up online.
