I don't think other wilderness groups understand how significant that experience is for girls...WWI builds finding your sense of self in to all they do. Make a Donation, Make a Difference!Help a girl or woman build the courage, confidence, and leadership that a Women's Wilderness Institute course provides. Scholarships are available for low-income participants in the Girls' Wilderness Program courses, Girls after-school Community Programs, and our Wilderness Recovery Retreats for women cancer survivors and survivors of trauma.

Special Matching Grant through December 2008A group of Foundations and individuals have joined together to create a pool of dollars for a challenge grant. Until December 31, 2008, any donation you make to The Women's Wilderness Institute will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to an amount of $19,000! $5,000 ~ Underwrites an entire Girls' Adventure Camp for 10 girls enjoying 6 days of self-esteem-building adventure.

$1,000 ~Furnishes a full scholarship for one low-income girl gaining skills and confidence on an 8-day Wilderness Expedition.

$500 ~ Gifts a scholarship for a woman survivor of trauma, or a cancer survivor healing on one of our Wilderness Recovery Retreats.

$100 ~ Hearty food to fuel one smiling girl on a 12-Day Leadership Course.
